Standing Committee
Membership Committee
Every association lives or dies on its membership. This committee makes sure ALA keeps earning it: welcoming new members properly, keeping the value obvious for current ones, and hearing what working architects actually need before they have to ask.
The committee’s charge
Recruit
Bring new architects, allied professionals, and students into the association, across every chapter and every career stage.
Welcome
Make the first year count: orientation to benefits, introductions at events, and a person to call with questions.
Retain
Listen to the membership, flag what is missing, and keep renewal an easy decision because the value keeps showing up.
Why Serve Here
The widest network in the association
Membership Committee members meet everyone: every new member, every chapter, every event. If you want to know the profession in your region, there is no faster seat.
Get Involved
Help the association grow.
Contact the office and ask for the Membership Committee chair. A few hours a month is enough to matter.
